Samouraï Courtier
The court was first composed of the imperial family members, the higher officials of the state, the high priests. Little by little were agreed at the court some Samurais who distinguished themselves by their exceptional war feats. The court nobility (Kazoku) had to accept the sword nobility (Shugo).
